Who knew!  I'm so glad the Lord leads me to His plans because they are so much better than mine!  I am not working with students who are deaf, I am teaching art at a middle school in the most beautiful city in Tennessee and we moved to a wonderful house close to work. It was worth it all.

I made it!  I graduated from UT with a 3.94, combined with my AS degree GPA of 4.0 gives me an undergraduate GPA of 3.97!  I will soon finish my 4th grad class and start my internship in August.  It will be a crazy year with full-time interning along with three night classes but it will be worth it!  Thank you for reading!

Update

This blog is mostly a placeholder until I have my own art classroom!  I will graduate from UTK soon with a BFA and then start my internship year in the fall of 2013.  It is getting so close!  I hope to intern at Amherst Elementary School where Knox County has their deaf ed program.  I am really excited about that and I know I will enjoy working with the elementary-age children.  My two choices for the 5-week rotation placements are high school at Tennessee School for the Deaf and middle school at Vine Magnet Middle School for Performing Arts and Sciences.  I am thankful to be learning from such amazing art teachers!
